Established in 1982, Franklin & Co. provides a comprehensive legal service to clients in Bakewell and the Peak District, specialising in Property and Private Client work.

Commercial Property matters, including leases, commercial contracts, and business sales and purchases, are handled by firm Principal, Philip Bramall, supported by trainee solicitor Darcie Hassett.

Our Residential Conveyancing department, led by chartered legal executive Nicky Gray and supported by trainee solicitor Grayson Boxall, handles a range of conveyancing matters, including sales and purchases, residential estate development and plot sales, and long leasehold flats.

Our Private Client department is led by chartered legal executive Gemma Brownlow, who specialises in Probate matters, supported by chartered legal executive Catherine Anderson specialising in Trust and Probate matters, and Will Writer Tina Fisher who deals with Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney.

Our team of lawyers combines experience with innovation. Nicky and Catherine joined the firm in the early 1990’s, and Philip in 2000, so they have a thorough knowledge of our client base and their legal needs. Gemma and Tina joined the firm in a period of expansion in 2022/23 and have brought fresh ideas and ways of working.
